Enaqua is a proudly African water treatment company, specialising in tailored purification and disinfection systems for critical sectors. Our mission? To provide high-performance, locally supported water treatment solutions that meet the toughest demands in healthcare, food production and industry.

Founded by seasoned professionals from the FMCG and engineering industries, we combine deep technical knowledge with a practical understanding of operational environments — from poultry plants to specialised healthcare clinics. Donavan Hendricks

An experienced Business Owner, Donavan is an accomplished entrepreneurial professional with a proven track record in the FMCG and utilities industry. He spent 14 years at SAB Miller across 9 different roles before deciding to further his studies, He has a MBA from GIBS, specialising in Entrepreneurial studies. He also holds a PDBA and a PPM project management (NQF 6) as well as a N. Dip Marketing. Donavan was awarded the Top of the ‘MBA Entrepreneurship Award’ in 2015.

He is a skilled negotiator with exceptional ability to execute streamlined Business Planning and Operations Management. He is renowned for his analytical thinking and is a specialist in Project Management and Design.

Donavan’s unique business acumen and vast experience in process design and efficiency, coupled with his knowledge of commercial and supply chain management, propelled him to pursue his passion for developing and nurturing entrepreneurial skills which he achieves by lecturing at Wits to 4th year BSc students in the Construction Economics & Management School. Topics covered include Entrepreneurship Process, Creativity, Innovation and Business Plan Development.
His background includes, amongst others: Operations and project management, telemetry & data analytics, light commercial solar PV and water heating projects.

Brandon Mitchell

Brandon has over 25 years of experience in the water treatment industry with specific focus on process design, process efficiency and ClO2 as a chemical technology. He was part of a select group that introduced ClO2 into the food & beverage industry as an alternative disinfection method and now it is widely accepted and recognised.

With a BSc Microbiology and Physiology, Brandon’s key focus areas in the Business are design, building and implementation of all water systems (disinfection; filtration & supply). While ClO2 is common, the specific nuances and process design experience Brandon brings to the business, makes Enaqua one of the experts in this field.

His in-depth knowledge and understanding of Water Treatment, Disinfection, Oxidation, Microbiological Quality of Water, UV and Chlorine Dioxide, enables his astute ability to facilitate the process management of large or small water treatment plants and other water disinfection projects.

Brandon also holds a Diploma in Business Management and a Diploma in Project Management (NQF 6)
